The "grunge" look?...

I don't really like that word "grunge". I don't know what else to call it though. Like retro rock? 80's rock? I don't even know. I know I like the look though. Anyway, because I really like the look at the moment I put together my own 80's "grunge" inspired outfit type thing...

The shirt and cut off top are both from new look. The high waisted shorts are from topshop. The boots (ohmygod the boots) are from Schuh and the glasses are from primark. The necklace in the picture above was from Australia somewhere but the crystal necklace in the other picture is from Delilah Dust. I thought that both of them went with this even though the crystal is more "boho" or whatever but I really love it.
Seeing as it's getting colder and we're getting closer to winter (which I am so excited about!) I would also wear this with black skinny jeans - I'm in love with my joni jeans from topshop. I think ripped jeans would go really well too! I could wear this outfit all day comfortably as well which just makes it even better. The boots make me look taller because of the platform and the heel but are actually just so comfy, they are absolutely amazing! So yeah, I am really liking this whole look right now.

P.S. I probably wont be posting very much at the moment because school has just started again and everything is very full on and very busy and it is all very stressy.

Lifestyle : I decorated my room...

I am really not posting frequently at all and this has absolutely nothing to do with anything else I have ever posted on here but I am actually just so proud that I have done real DIY and stuff! By myself??!! You probably don't care at all but I'm going to tell you about it anyway.
It doesn't sound like much but I painted my room (which was why I wasn't posting anything at first and then I just never got round to it). It was a really bright blue that I did like, but I've had it for a few years now and I thought it was more of a summery colour, so, to go into winter I decided to paint it a much more neutral and warm colour. It has made my room so much calmer. I'm in love. So what you could take from this completely pointless post is that if you want to make your space a bit cosier just paint it a more subtle or warm colour. It makes a huge difference.
So yeah, there's my interior décor advice, great isn't it. Also, fairy lights. You can never have enough fairy lights. I should become an interior decorator.
Warning: most of these pictures are bad quality, sorry.

Yeah. I'm so proud.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner...

So, a while ago I posted about The Body Shop's amazing seaweed toner. The only problem with it was the fact that I had bought the small bottle of it! So I had to take a trip to The Body Shop to buy some more. When I got there though I thought I should try something different because there is so many different types of things in the body shop I thought it would be a waste to just keep using the same one. So I was looking at the skincare stuff and found the Tea Tree Toner. Turns out it's only £5 a 250ml bottle where as the Seaweed toner was £3 a 60ml bottle (I think)! I thought it was a bit of a bargain to be honest; the whole Tea Tree range smells amazing. Anyway, I just wanted to say  that it is really good and definitely worth the money!

Back in Britain...

Hey! So, Majorca is amazing. I thought it was going to be really touristy and all hotels and a ton of people but it was actually so perfect. It was absolutely boiling all week (I think it reached 30 °c!) and the little villa we stayed in had its own pool with colour changing lights for the times we had a late night swim! As well as this the place we were staying was about a ten minute walk down into the town of Soller which was filled with souvenir shops and the cutest little boutiques I have ever been in in my whole life. I would be happy to just wear clothes from those boutiques for the rest of my life! (Seriously if you find yourself in Soller make sure to go in the boutiques down Carrer de sa Lluna). In the town there was a vintage tram that took us all the way to Port de Soller which had a beach with plenty more shops along the front of it. We also spent our last day looking through the streets of Palma. We found the coolest ice cream shop (chandeliers inside and dry ice being sprayed out of the side of the building!)  and we came across the weirdest Old English Book Shop. At first it looked like a tiny shop with books piled high to the ceiling but when we went inside it went on forever! Every time we thought we got to the back of the shop there was another door or a staircase, it was so strange.
I spent most of the week soaking in sun, swimming in the pool, buying necklaces and bracelets and eating ice cream. If you ever go to Majorca you have to have ice cream. I had lemon ice cream, raspberry ice cream, oreo ice cream, kinder ice cream... the list goes on. Basically, it's good ice cream wherever you go. The whole town was so pretty and I had an amazing time. So, I decided to share some pictures of my holiday!

To Majorca!...

I'm going to Majorca! I've actually posted this on queue so really I'm on my way to Majorca right now. I haven't been posting anything lately because I have just had so much to do but now I don't have to do anything so I'll be posting again. I won't be posting for a week now though because I'll be on holiday - obviously.

Wednesday Friday Addams...

"Why are you dressed like somebody died?"
"Wait."

It was my friends birthday ages ago but I started writing this post then and just never got round to posting it. Anyway, she decided to have a fancy dress party which everyone enjoys. When I saw this dress on boohoo.com for £15 I decided I had to go as Wednesday Addams! I absolutely love The Addams Family Values (the second Addams Family film) because of the scenes with Wednesday and Pugsley in Camp and the things she says really make me laugh. I also wanted to go as Wednesday because I thought I could wear this dress more than just for fancy dress - unlike a whoopee cushion costume.
Anyway, to complete my super cute and easy Wednesday costume I put on some frilly socks, black vans, a ton of black eye shadow, dark red lipstick, big earrings and of course I put my hair into plaits.

I wish I'd had the high heels in the picture when I went to the party because I am in complete and utter love with them. They're perfect. Plus they were the last pair in Office so were only a tenner!
I absolutely loved the party and my costume (even though quite a few people thought I was the girl from orphan)! My outfit was quick, cheap and comfortable. It was a great night and everyone looked amazing.

Fashion By Mayhem...

Okay, so I know I'm late on this and I haven't posted anything in agesssss but that's because I have been extremely busy doing work and lots of procrastination (more procrastination than work but hey). Anyway, if you haven't heard about this girl then you should really see this!
Mayhem is a four year old girl who's mum posts pictures of her on her instagram and blog wearing the cutest little dresses - made from paper. She is the absolute cutest thing ever and her and her mum make dresses and outfits completely from paper and other crafty things. The outfits have been everything from catwalk to celebrity inspired.

I want the frozen inspired hat so much!
Is this not the greatest thing ever? To see more of their super cute designs you can go to fashionbymayhem.com or you can go to their instagram! It's all just so sweet I can't get over it!
Maybe I'll make one myself?

How I Wash My Make Up Brushes...

As much as I like to kid myself, I am not a neat person. I just can't get organised no matter how much I try and my room is a complete mess 99% of the time. But, there are some things that I actually like cleaning or sorting out. One of these is washing my make up brushes. I really don't know why but it is so satisfying seeing them all clean and new looking afterwards. It makes me happy! (I realise this sounds extremely sad.).
So anyway, I just thought I'd share with you how I clean them because I don't really use any special make up cleany products or anything.

1. First get a towel to put the brushes on and roll one end up a little but. This is so that when you put the brushes down the water doesn't run up the handle bit of the brush.
2. You need some baby shampoo and a running tap - that's it! Run the warm tap a little bit, but apparently you don't want the water too warm because it melts the glue or something? I don't know if it's true but just to be safe!
3. Wet each brush a little bit and rub it on your hand as if you were rubbing make up on it.
4. Then put a tiny bit of baby shampoo in the middle of your hand and rub it with the brush again. Just keep doing this until you think that the brush is clean and rinse all the shampoo out. Make sure that all the shampoo is out!
5. Once all the shampoo is out, squeeze the water out of the brush from the top down. Kind of like your smoothing it out.
6. Lay the clean brushes back on the towel like before so that the water doesn't get into the handle and leave them to dry!

Try not to run the tap for too long though! We need to try and save our planet so turn the tap off whenever you can!
