Angela&Roi...

So, everyone loves a good handbag, don't lie. And everyone loves making some one feel good or helping someone out. I know these are really different things but Angela&Roi have managed to combine the two.
Angela&Roi are a couple that have made a company designing/making/selling handbags made out of high quality vegan leather. But the best part is: whenever you buy a bag from Angela&Roi $5 of your purchase is donated to charity. So by buying a bag you can help some one else too, kind of like toms the way when you buy shoes they give a pair to a child in need.

The difference with Angela&Roi though is that your $5 is given to a charity depending on which colour bag you buy. "Every Colour Means Something". For example if you buy a pink bag $5 will be donated to a charity for breast cancer, but if you bought a grey bag your $5 would go to a charity for diabetes. Each colour has a different charity connected to it.

I absolutely love this idea. I am completely jealous of everyone living in America because if I lived in America (and had enough money) I would definitely buy one of Angela&Roi's Sunday Totes. I think they are absolutely gorgeous! The only problem is I wouldn't know which colour to get! I also love their Pallet Cross-Body I think they are so cute. I really love these bags and it's great to think that a bit of the money goes to charity.

The Sunday Totes from Angela&Roi!

I really think this is a great idea and the bags are absolutely perfect. Go to their website here or their facebook here!

The New New Dress...

So like I said on my last post I bought another dress (well my mum bought it for me actually but same difference) which is really strange for me because I never wear dresses. But I just wanted to share my buy with you because I really like it and it was only £25! I guess this is a kind of what I wore post...

The best thing about it though is that it has big pockets! The thing I usually hate about dresses is you don't have pockets but these were big enough to fit my camera in.

I wore these wedge/boots type shoes with it - mainly because that was all I had and they were really comfy! And I wore a camera necklace which I think was from claires or some where like that, I've had it ages.

So, yeah, that's what I wore to my grandad's 70th birthday...
(I don't have a  picture of me in it because the only one I have is terrible quality)

Fancy nails...

So it's my granddad's birthday and the whole family is going out for a fancy meal thing because it's his 70th!! So I decided to do something I rarely ever do - get dressed up. I even got another new dress (which you will probably see in another post) so I thought I need nice nails to go with it. I've gone really simple but I like them so I thought I'd share!

I used...

gold/silver nail art pen and black miss sporty nail varnish

I first painted my nails with 2 coats of black nail varnish. Once it had dried I did one line of gold/silver across my nail where I wanted the two colours to meet with the thin brush and then waited for it to dry, this is because I wanted an even line and I knew I would smudge it. Then I just coloured in the side I wanted with the brush. I put a clear coat on top and then it was done!

It's really easy and simple but that's why I love it!

Fashion Films...

One of the other things that I absolutely love is the cinema and films. I love watching films so much (I even have a film blog which you should definitely check out here) and so I love watching films about fashion, so I thought I would just list a few good films that are kind of fashion based-ish.

The Devil wears prada - 2006
Obviously... I love this film. A woman gets a job in new york as a magazine editor's assistant. I love it because it's not just a boring film, it has a good story to it. I also like it because it has Meryl Streep in it who usually reminds me of my nain (grandma) but in this she's a lot meaner... She is amazing in this film though.

Sex and the city - 2008
A writer in New York finally gets married to her perfect guy but everything goes wrong. I just want the wardrobe. The huge walk in wardrobe is the most perfect thing in this film. The only problem is the film seems to go on forever! It's pretty long...

Confessions of a shopaholic - 2009
A woman in New York who is obsessed with shopping gets a job as a financial journalist after some letters get mixed up. She also meets a rich guy. This is a good film if you're into chick flicks and easy to watch films. I mean it's not the best fashion based film but it's good.

The September issue - 2009
This is THE film to watch if you want to know what goes on behind the magazine that is Vogue. This film shows how the biggest issue of Vogue is made and everyone behind it. I will be honest, I was bored at first but after a while I was sucked in and wanted to know everything.

Shoppingggggggg...

So I went shopping with some friends today, not for anything in particular but just to go. The only thing is I love getting new stuff but I absolutely hate spending money. I just love trying on all the different clothes to be honest. But yeah this is why I mainly shop in primark... because I can't afford anything else!
Anyway, today I decided that I wanted new clothes for Autumn even though it is still August. I get really excited about the autumn though because I think it's my favourite season really, here is a list of reasons why...

  • THICK JUMPERS!
  • no wasps/daddy longlegs
  • it starts to get darker sooner so I can look out my windows at the moon/stars
  • it gets colder so I have a reason to sit inside all day (plus I love it when we have the fire going)
  • but it's not too cold
  • hats. I love hats.
  • leaves start to fall and look pretty. They also sound great when you stand on them
  • HALLOWEEN! which means everything smells of pumpkin!
  • my birthday!

So yeah... I bought a green jumper that was just soooo soft I had to get it and also a burgundy hat that was only 2 quid so how could I leave it? I have a slight problem with hats though because whenever I see one I have to get it even though I already have like a billion.

for some reason the colours on my camera went a bit weird, the jumper is actually a really dark green.

I also bought a dress from H&M for my friends sister's birthday party. I really hate dresses though and hardly ever wear them so I'm not looking forward to wearing it to be honest. But I like it and it was only £15.

the top of the dress is denim with cut outs and the bottom is just plain black

Clueless...

One of my many favourite films of all time has to be Clueless. That's why I am in love with Wildfox's Kids in America range! (Okay so it's been out a while) They've done a whole range of clothing that looks like clothes from Clueless! I think they got everything right, the models, set and clothes!

I love it all! Too bad it's all waaaaaaaaay too expensive for me...

School starts soon...

So schools start to go back in around 2 weeks now and honestly, I'm not looking forward to it. BUT, I love going shopping for back to school stuff and this year it looks like the school look isn't just for inside the class room!
I went to H&M the other day and fell in love with the satchels in there. They have them in really pretty colours like light blue and red or they have them in more simple colours like brown or black. I am so annoyed I didn't buy one there and then because after going on the website to get one they only have black or red! Plus in the shop they had small versions and big versions.
I also went to top shop and almost bought some really cute frilly socks! They do them in so many different colours you can have a pair to go with every pair of shoes. I love them!
Anyway, I've searched the internet and found back to school style...

Dreading going back to school but I love this look!

Fashion homework...

It was sunny today! So I went outside and decided to catch up on some "fashion homework". I say this so it sounds important and so I don't have to do anything else really! Anyway I thought I would just tell you about my love for Look Magazine. I think it's great! Plus it's every week not every month which means I don't have to wait for agessssssss for the next one. I really like it though and just thought you might want to know...

P.S. Don't forget to watch Britain and Ireland's next top model tonight because they're going to Barbados
